Great for the price! No plug in to operate. Almost no noise. Good interface. Small foot print. Wheels on the front so it's easy to move from one spot to another. On the downside, the stride length could be longer. No vertical adjustment luke in more expensive models. Excellent customer service when you need to talk to someone live or need a part. Definitely would purchase again.

I researched for months before deciding to purchase the LifeCore LC-990. All the reviews raved fantastic things about the elliptical, and the price seemed good for the performance. The machine was really great when I first got it. However, after using it multiple times a week for over a year, I noticed that even after repeated tightening, the main "trunk" (where the computer is connected to) squeaks and shakes. Another annoying characteristic is the foot pedals. The pedals are rectangular-shaped, and my feet aren't. When exercising, my feet tend to splay a little outwards like they do when you walk - the pedals have a raised edge on the interior side and do not allow my feet to take their natural stance. Also, the pedals are locked into place with plastic-covered screws. The screws have round heads that can be used to tighten/ loosen to change the pedal location. The heads pop off nearly every 2 weeks and I have had to request new ones sent to me once every 6 months. LifeCore is wonderful about [...] but I wish I didn't have to keep replacing them.

I've used the LifeCore Fitness LC-990 Elliptical Trainer for more than a year now, for about a half-hour, five days a week.

It's a massive beast, taking up considerable space, but the bulk helps to make it a sturdy, dependable machine for my 240-lb. body.

Within a few months, though, it developed a squeak that's heard with every step. I can't figure out where it's coming from or how to remedy it.

I'm sure they put a lot of thought and expense into the computer brain and workout programs, but frankly I can't figure out how to use them (whaddya mean, read the manual?) and I probably wouldn't take advantage of them anyway.

My marketing advice would be to build a less expensive trainer just like this one, but without the computerized feedback, for the person like me who wants the workout but doesn't want to bother with a serious training regimen.

Great product but have to put up with constant squeaking. I called the company and they said yes it does squeak and creak but to oil it. Oiling it helped for a few days then back to the creaking and sqeaking.

I love this machine. I've had several cheaper machines in the past. They all wobbled and fell apart were noisy and just not worth the money. The life core is smooth quiet and does just what I expected it to do. I am not a lite weight (250 lbs) I have been doing 45 minutes 3 times a week for over a year and a half and the machine is still good as new. I would recommend to anyone.

[...] The instructions for putting it together were easy to understand and it took only a couple hours before we were up and going. I use the machine every day and have already lost five pounds and feel good. My wife goes to a fitness club and finds this eliptical to be a real workout for it's size. The ride is smooth and quiet and there are a lot of programs to choose from. We like how we can keep track of our individual workouts, too. The only thing we had to wait for was the free wireless heart monitor as it was on back order with that company. We received it about two months after the eliptical came. Overall, we are very pleased with the product and have already recommended it to several friends and family members.

This is a great workout tool. In my busy schedule, it made it easy to get back into a routine. I went from hardly ever working out to working out 5 times a week.

The heart rate monitor on the handle is not accurate on my machine. But that is really not a prblem for me, I love the trainer.

I use this trainer 4 times a week with a HR monitor. I am greater than 250 lbs but this machine is quite sturdy and stable while I exercise. I am very happy to have chosen this machine over the many less expensive models and makes I was looking at.

I researched different brands of Elliptical trainers for several weeks before deciding to but the Lifecore Fitness LC-990. It is very sturdy and five months later, I am still using it 3-5 days a week. I tried out different brands in the same price range, and this one was a much better quality.

I wish the manual control was a little more user friendly. Sometimes, when I go to a lower setting, I erase my progress. I know that I probably did something wrong but this still needs to be addressed for the people like me out there.
Also, the little plastic covers on the feet, break off (needs improvement). Other than that, it's a great machine and worth the money!!!!!

This was so easy to set up. It is very quiet and smooth when being used. I highly recommend this machine. I run daily and use the machine on days when I can't. My husband, who never exercises, has started using it and really enjoys it.

Delivery, set-up, and general use is great. I have typically done 8 mile intervals at the max setting every other day for the past four months. Resistance gets fairly easy after a while, and weight loss is so-so. Was hoping to burn a bit more calories for a high end 40-50 minute workout.

Great deal though, especially for low end workouts.

I enjoy this machine alot. It is very easy to set up, to use and to keep clean. It is not something to use it you are short on space but if you have room for it then it is definetly worth the money

I use my elliptical about 5 times a week and get a great workout in a short time. At first I could only stay on 5 minutes, now I can stay on 45 minutes which is all I need.

My husband assembled it in about 1 hour. My husband, daughter and I use it almost daily. It does need to be tightened up regularly as the directions state, but it is holding up well to frequent use. It is a great addition to our exercise routine. I would recommend it to others in the market for a home level machine.

I'm 55 years old and using this elyptical daily to run two cycles of 10 minutes in the morning at 6:00 and in the evening at 7:30
I love this trainer, it's great to have.
This elyptical is quit, steady and sturdy and easy to program.
The sales company who handles your order is very poor organized. In Canada I have to get my elyptical at Customs in Ottawa, a 150Km drive.
